Japan Shrine Box Papercraft

In every anime, they will at least show how they celebrated new year’s eve by going to a shrine and make a wish.

And when they do that, they throw a dime or so into the shrine.

Shrine is part of Japanese culture and if you visit Japan without visiting any of their shrine then your visit is not completed.
