Step 1: Gather Your Supplies
You will need a square piece of paper, in any color you like. It’s best to use origami paper, but you can also use any square piece of paper that you have on hand, such as a piece of printer paper.

Step 2: Fold the Paper in Half
Take your square piece of paper and fold it in half diagonally to create a triangle. Then, fold the triangle in half again to create a smaller triangle.

Step 3: Make the First Fold
Unfold the triangle and make a valley fold along the center crease, bringing the two sides of the triangle together. Then, fold the top two corners down to meet the bottom edge of the triangle.

Step 4: Make the Second Fold
Take the bottom point of the triangle and bring it up to meet the top edge, creating a smaller triangle. Then, fold the sides of the triangle inwards to meet the center crease.

Step 5: Fold the Heart in Half
Take the bottom point of the triangle and bring it up to meet the top edge, creating a smaller triangle. Then, fold the sides of the triangle inwards to meet the center crease.

Step 6: Open the Heart
Carefully open up the heart to reveal the final design. If you want to make the heart stand up, you can use a small piece of tape to hold it in place.
